Eligibility Criteria

Application Process
Choose Investment Route
Select an eligible investment option and prepare the necessary documentation.
Sign POA & Open Portuguese Bank Account
Authorize a local lawyer to represent you and open a tax ID and bank account.
Make the Investment
Transfer funds and finalize the investment. Retain all proof of transaction and ownership.
Submit Online Application
Apply through the SEF (Immigration and Borders Service) portal.
Biometric Appointment
Attend in-person to submit fingerprints and photos (can be done by family together).
Receive Residence Card
Initial residency is granted for 2 years, then renewable for another 3 years.
Apply for Citizenship (optional)
After 5 years, you can apply for Portuguese citizenship and an EU passport.
